October 31, 1958 – December 31, 2023
Anthony (Tony)Passante,65, of Kemah, Texas, passed peacefully on December 31, 2023. He grew up in Seabrook, Texas, overlooking the water of Galveston Bay in his back yard. He graduated from Clear Creek High School and was also part of the FFA. A few of his favorite passions were fishing, cooking, smoking beautiful briskets, barbecuing, and sharing his famous bacon-wrapped stuffed shrimp and cream cheese jalapenos. It was a rare weekend when he did not share his food with everyone at the swimming pool. He had the gift, to his delightment, of having a giving heart and asking for nothing in return. Anthony was with the Houston Fire Department for 30 years, working his way up the ranks to becoming a Captain, after much studying, which was such a proud moment for him in his life. He lived and breathed the time he spent with the Houston Fire Department, until he took his last living breath. My goodness, he had so many friends (his Brothers) and too many stories to tell.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Becky) Hutchens of 23 years; three children, Michelle Wade and two children Evan and Hailey, Zachary Passante and wife Nadine, and Miranda Passante; brother David Raines and wife Valerie; sister Lisa Stapp; sister Josephine Gabehart; sister-in-law Beth Taylor and husband Kent; mother-in-law and father-in-law Joan and Ronald Washburn; daughter-in-Law Christina Goodman and husband Joshua; granddaughter Rylee Grace Goodman; and many other relatives and cherished friends.
Celebration of Life for Anthony will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Fire Station No. 3, located at 1919 Houston Avenue, Houston, Texas, 77007. Start time will be 11:30 am until 3:30 pm. HFD will be doing Honors/Last Call. During the celebration it will be a more casual atmosphere for friends and family to come together to honor Anthony’s life and share stories. The celebration will be come-and-go, but anyone is more than welcome to stay the entire time. If there are those who cannot attend the celebration, we completely understand. We appreciate everyone's support.
Attire is casual, business casual at most.

I lived Anthony so much! We liked to watch and listen to sports and eat his most awesome food, he was such a good cook! Most of all he loved my sister, Becky, so very much! He will be greatly missed!
We met in Kindergarten at James F. Bay Elementary in Seabrook in 1964 and were good friends all throughout our childhood, playing little League baseball together, football at Seabrook Intermediate, and graduated High School together in 1977 at Clear Lake HS. He was a good friend and will be missed by many. RIP Buddy. We’ll meet up again one day.
