Andrew Clay Holt, 47, of League City, Texas, passed away on April 22, 2024. Born on August 20, 1976, in Hopewell, Virginia, to Howard Holt and Nancy Mallini, Andrew deeply cherished his family and friends. He is survived by his mother, Nancy, stepfather Charles Mallini, father, Howard Holt; his brother, Alan (Watita); stepsisters Kelly Page (Jack) and Lori Mallini (Vinny); niece Irisa Holt; nephews Jackson, Oliver, and Theodore Page. He is also survived by uncles and aunts Greg and Sheila Corbin, Ron and Ruth Prater, Mike Scarbrough, Beverly Spencer; and cousins Stacy (Shannon) McCoy, Chad (Andrea) Corbin, Brittany and Kayla Scarbrough, Thomas Prater, and Patrick and Jimmy Richards. Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph and Myrtle Scarbrough and Thomas and Alma Holt.
A graduate of Friendswood High School, Andrew attended Alvin Community College where he studied Process Technology. He dedicated nine years to Advance Auto Parts, where his innovative ideas and hard work were highly valued. Andrew was universally known for his compassionate and caring nature, qualities that extended beyond his professional life into all aspects of his interactions with others. Andrew had a passion for working out at the gym, where he often helped others with their training, generously sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm.
A ceremony to honor Andrew's life will be held on May 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Jeter Funeral Home in Friendswood, TX, preceded by a visitation from 10:00 – 11:00 AM where friends and family can pay their respects. Interment will follow the ceremony at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, TX.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) to support mental health awareness and care, a cause important to Andrew. Andrew will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

Andrew was a special and kind person. Just sitting here thinking of him, I remember, I never heard him say an unkind word about ANYONE. Andrew loved to talk. At family gatherings, he would talk to everybody. He enjoyed sitting one on one and talking about everything. I truly regret not sitting longer with him. I love Andrew and he will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart.

I remember Andrew from when we were kids. We grew apart in HS going our own ways, but we played on the same little dribblers team in Elementary. And again in Junior High. He was always a fierce competitor, always hitting the 3s, a leader on the team. I also remember him being in cub scouts at Hope Lutheran church. This news is shocking and sad for me. Keeping his family in our family’s prayers.
