Alejandra Cruz Villarreal

September 2, 1945 – February 18, 2023

Alejandra Cruz Villarreal, 77, of Friendswood, Texas passed away on February 18, 2023.  She was born September 2, 1945 to Jose Cruz, Sr. and Eufracia Garza Cruz in Corpus Christi, Texas.  She moved to Friendswood, Texas in 1979 where she raised her four boys. She remained there until her death.

Alejandra is survived by her brother, Jesse Cruz, Sr. (San Pedro, CA.);  three sons, Joe Michael (wife Tiffany), Jon Anthony (wife Jamie), and Bobby Lee; grandkids, Justin, Alyssa, Skyler, Holden, and Alex; her sister-in-law, Irma Cruz; niece, Lucy Moreno (husband Paul), and numerous nieces and nephews.   

She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Gilbert, her parents, Jose Cruz, Sr., and Eufracia Garza Cruz; brothers, Clemente Cruz, Sr., Jose Cruz, Jr., and sister, Petra C. Valdez.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home with Lucy Moreno officiating.

Burial will be at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, Texas 77598.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and/or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in her name.

    Mrs. V was the best mom on the block. I was the only girl in our age group and she always made sure the boys were being nice to me . Chris was always the best big brother and took care of all of us. I’m happy they are together again but sad for those left behind to grieve. my prayers are with you J!
