Austin Hunter Colbert, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on September 20, 2026, at the age of 31.

Austin was a man who loved deeply and lived with his whole heart. Above all else, he loved his wife, Trisha, and his children. His family was his world, and being a husband and father was the greatest part of who he was.

Austin leaves behind his beloved wife, Trisha, and his three greatest accomplishments and deepest loves: Wrenlee-Jo, Mason, and Jesse. His children were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment he was able to spend with them. They were, without a doubt, his greatest legacy.

Austin was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. He had a heart for helping others and would do anything he could for anyone in need. If someone needed a helping hand, Austin was the kind of person who would show up. He never hesitated to lend his time, his skills, or simply his presence when someone needed him. Helping people brought him joy, and his generosity and kindness left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Austin had a love for the outdoors and the simple things that made life meaningful. He loved to fish, hunt, work on anything mechanical, and spend time outside. Whether he was working with his hands, enjoying the outdoors, or simply spending time with the people he loved, Austin found happiness in being present and making memories.

He was the kind of man who could fix things, figure things out, and never seemed to mind getting his hands dirty. His love for his family was evident in the way he provided for them, protected them, laughed with them, and made them feel loved.

To know Austin was to know how much he loved his family. His greatest accomplishments were not the things he built or fixed, but the lives he helped shape—especially those of Wrenlee-Jo, Mason, and Jesse.

Austin’s life was far too short, but the love he gave was immeasurable. He leaves behind memories that will be carried forever by his wife, his children, his family, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Perky and Connie Cobb; and his Grandmother Patricia (Nana) Cobb, and his grandfather Kenny Buchanan. 

He is survived by his wife, Trisha Colbert of Angleton, Tx; his children Wrenlee Jo Colbert of Angleton, Tx, Mason Colbert and Jesse Colbert of Baytown, Tx; his mother, Jodie Colbert of Bossier City, LA; his father Chase Colbert of Tyler, Tx; his brother Tanner Colbert and wife Hana (Caden, Huxley, and Paxton Colbert) of Weatherford, Tx; his sister, Kensey Colbert and Lamell Hawkins (Kiyah Hawkins) of Aubrey, Tx; his sister in law and brother in law, Chris and Teri Couchman (Bradley, Makenzie and Carter Couchman) of Alvin, Tx, and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. 

Friends and family are cordially invited to the Funeral Service on Friday, October 2, 2026, Visitation is from 5:00-6:00 PM and the Funeral will begin at 6:00 PM at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr. Friendswood, TX 77546.
