    I am saddened to hear about Scott.. We grew up together and spent many years in school year after year. He was so smart and intelligent. He was always kind and would go out of his way to help everyone. I will always remember his kind ways and the moments we shared. ‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’ (Psalm 34:18) My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.

  3. I had the pleasure of meeting Scot a few summers ago. Saddened by his passing, may all his family and loved ones know they are in my thoughts.
    Well deserved in the writings, sharing his outstanding journey, knowledge and interests.

    Sincerely;
    Janet Andrews

  4. Bill and the Stanley Family: We were all so saddened by the news of Scot’s passing. A flight instructor, project manager in Yemen and Indonesia, a Harley rider—what an adventurous life Scot led. We’re all thinking of you here in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at UT Austin and we’re sending healing wishes your way. We’ve been blessed to know so many in the Stanley family and we know firsthand what an amazing and strong family you all are. So sorry for your loss.

  5. Kelly we are so sorry for the loss of your husband. I know Scot was your rock as you his “grounding effect”! Prayers are with you. We are grateful to have enjoyed the time with him in Fredericksburg riding and saving lives. His incredible designs and strategies during the floods will not be forgotten by the many people rescued. He sure will be missed and not forgotten.

  6. Sandy and Steven Campbell

    Condolences to the family. Scot was a true testament of kindness and generosity. His work with his wife at our clinic inspired positive change throughout the community. We are all sad to learn of his passing.

  7. Rest in peace Scott. Only knew you for a moment. Wish you had surrounded yourself with healthy people near your last years.
    Finally, get some rest.
