December 3, 1939 – February 3, 2025
Barbara Nell Lewis passed away into the loving presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 3, 2025 with family by her side.
Barbara was born on December 3, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Harold Eugene Fulp and Lois Imogene Pack. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Eugene Fulp and Lois Imogene Pack, and son Harold Ray Goforth.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Duane Lewis, son Donald Goforth and wife Patti Goforth, stepson Troy Lewis and wife Gehra Lewis, and stepdaughter Dana Besselman and husband Travis Besselman. Barbara is survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 (plus one on the way) great-grandchildren.
Barbara lived in the Houston area all of her life. She retired from San Jacinto College after many years of working in schools. She and Duane enjoyed traveling with the Sagemont RV Group and played dominoes monthly with many friends. Barbara created many beautiful paintings and shared them with all of her family and friends. She loved flowers and her house always had the colors of the seasons with fresh blooms.
Barbara was a member of Sagemont Baptist Church and attended faithfully until her health would not allow her to do so.
Friends are invited to the visitation with family on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, Texas 77546. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Houston, Texas.

I loved Aunt Barbara so much! I will treasure the paintings I have from her. So wish we could be there but my family has the stomach flu. Sending much love to all the family!
