In Loving Memory

Thomas P. Webb

August 7, 1947 – June 1, 2024

Thomas Webb, the youngest son of Joel and Marie Webb went to be with his Lord on June 1, 2024, surrounded by his family following a long illness.  He was born August 7, 1947, in Port Arthur, Texas.

After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, he attended college at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where he studied computer science.  He was fascinated with this technology and maintained great interest in the world of computers.  In his professional life, he worked for Sears, Xerox & NASA until his retirement in 2014.

Thomas married Michele Maxon (Mich) in a beautiful ceremony in Lumberton, Texas on June 27, 1992.  He was father to two boys, Gregory (Jacque) and Christopher, and stepfather to Sara.  Grandfather to six, Kelsey, Lindsey, Logan, Connor, Brook-Lynn and Gary, and great-grandfather to four, Avery, Adalynn, Jackson and Theodore (Teddy).

As the head of a blended family, he learned many lessons of life.  The sons have said their father was a loving father.  Sara says he was understanding, and always helpful.  At one time his presence in the life of a young grandson had been what made that young man a winner in society today.  His wife Michele treasures the nights in the Man Cave with favorite TV programs as well as family discussions.  One memory of a niece has nothing to do with computers.  She said she will always remember visiting Uncle Thomas and his wife and sitting on the shag carpet playing with toys.

Thomas enjoyed playing hours of computer games with his two sons and friends.  He also enjoyed the yearly crawfish boil he had with his two sons, relatives and friends.  He loved fishing, watching the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans, except when they were losing.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Joel and Marie Webb, and two brothers, Robert (Bob) Webb and Harris Webb.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. – 11:00 A.M.  followed by a memorial service at 11:00 A.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home 311 North Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas  77546 (281) 992-7200.
