Sharon Kay Woodward Knight

June 4, 1937 – November 24, 2023

Sharon Kay Woodward Knight, 86, of Alvin, Texas passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023.  She was born on June 4, 1937 to George Woodward and Esther Wilber Woodward in Lawrence, Kansas.

She attended and graduated from Alvin High School in 1955.  She was employed with Monsanto for 31 years.  Sharon had many talents and hobbies.  She was a talented artist and painter.  She loved to garden and take care of her animals.  She also loved the Lord and was of Baptist faith.

Sharon had many talents such as painting, gardening, taking care of horses and chickens.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, George and Esther Woodward; her son James Ray Knight; her grandson Randy Richardson; her great-grandson Colton Hugh Scopel.

Sharon is survived by her children, Randy Knight and his wife Elaine, Becky White and husband Jim and David Knight.  Not to mention numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, plus many other relatives and cherished friends.

Everyone is cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral service immediately to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Rev. Jerry Stark officiating.  Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.

The family would like to express their thanks to the Heart Hospital at HCA Clear Lake.  Also to Harbor Hospice for the care given.

  1. I am sorry to hear about Aunt Sharon passing. She was a precious person. We really enjoyed it when she and David came to see us when we lived in Arizona.. She painted us a painting of a windmill and it still hangs on the wall. She will be missed by everyone who loved her.
