February 27, 1942 – November 13, 2023
Regina Margaret “Margo” Farrer Michael, 81, Loving Mother, Wife and “Grandy” passed away peacefully at the age of 81 in Friendswood, Texas at her home with her family by her side on Monday, November 13, 2023.
Margo was preceded in death by her parents Arrington and Thurba Farrer. She is survived by her husband Charles Michael, sons Joel and Jon, daughter in laws Julie and Kami, cousin and niece Bobbie Jean and Deborah and her beloved grandchildren Shelby, Trace, Ava, Allie, Jenna, and Jordan along with countless friends.
Margo was born in 1942 and raised in Angleton, Texas by Thurba and Arrington where she grew into the loving person that we all became familiar with. At Angleton High School she was elected FFA Sweetheart in 1957, Band Sweetheart in 1959 along with Brazoria County Fair and Rodeo Queen in that same year. From There Margo’s journey took her to the University of Houston where she quickly became the president of the Delta Gamma Sorority, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, and met the love of her life Charles J. Michael.
Margo and Charles were married on August 28, 1965, and settled in Friendswood, Texas shortly thereafter. She enjoyed playing bridge, the symphony, attending U of H athletic events (GO COOGS), planning, and attending events with her many friends, and anything that had to do with her children and grandchildren. She was beloved for many things but being the best mother and grandmother was most important to her throughout her life, this trait will forever be her legacy.
Grandy will be truly missed by all her family and friends. We take comfort that she is reunited with her mom, dad, along with Aunt Reba and is free of pain as she watches over her family. You can bet that Margo is carrying out this task in full makeup (including, but not limited to her traditional pink lipstick) and all her favorite matching jewelry.
We would also like to give a special thank you to her amazing caregiver Betty for the love, compassion, and friendship that she provided over the last several years of Margo’s life. We are proud to consider Betty a part of our family going forward.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 with Rev. Thomas Vellappallil, M.S. officiating. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery in Angleton, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Margo's memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation at www.alzfdn.org

Such a beautiful lady and so full of life. I’m sure she and my sister, Joan Blake are planning their first bridge game in Heaven. She will be missed but is at peace. My love and sympathy to her special family.
My dear Margo, oh the places we’ve been and the things we’ve seen and been a participant. So may joys and sorrows we’ve shared…..Roundtop… midnight scavenging and rollin laughter…they will forever be in my mind and heart. Your caring love and upbeat spirit kept me going so many days. Lunches where we shared our thoughts , longings and problems. Kathy, Sally, Hope, you and I over all these years. Kathy and I have your flowers for you like we all promised long ago. You are so loved and never forgotten.
