In Loving Memory

Ruby Fay Condray Christensen

December 12, 1942 – July 17, 2023

We sadly announce that Ruby Fay Christensen, wife of Carl Christensen Jr., and currently of Friendswood, TX has passed away at the tender, sweet age of 80 years young. She was born December 9, 1942 and passed away July 17, 2023.

Ruby Fay was raised in Cameron, Texas by John Henry and Jewel Lee Condray. She met Carl(the love of her life) in Houston and before they knew it, they were married and had three sons: Richard, Ronnie and (Carl) Glen.

She was preceded in death by two of her sons whom she loved dearly: Ronnie Thomas and Richard Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her brother John Henry, Jewel Lee and John Wayne Condray.

Ruby loved to read books and in years past often got on waiting lists at her local library for top-selling, popular novels.

Ruby Fay was a family gal. She came from a big, loving family. She enjoyed speaking to her sisters on the phone as often as possible since they didn’t get to see much of each other. The family has a lovely sense of humor and she always spent her time with them laughing whether on the phone or in person.

Carl and Ruby married in 1958 and spent 65 happy years together. Ruby could not picture her life without her wonderful husband who took such attentive, loving care of her. The family joke was that she was going to wear out his name calling for him so often because she always “needed” him for something…”Carl, can you get this for me?”…”Carl?”…”Carl?” He, of course, loved it and misses her calling for him terribly!

She is survived by her adoring husband of 65 years Carl Christensen, Jr., son Carl Glen (Liz) Christensen, sisters Louise (Walter Brown) Tucker, Margie (Wayne)Bertolio, Peggy (Billy) Fowler, Dorothy (Tommy) Standard, Darlene (Willy) Siedler, granddaughter Alecia Christensen and grandson Blake Christensen as well as other relatives and many friends.

Ruby will be dearly missed. She leaves a hole in our lives that cannot be filled.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Rev. Jerry Stark officiating.

A Celebration of Life will follow at Perry & Son’s at 3:30 P.M., 614 S. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood TX 77456.
