Spencer Allan Brown

July 29, 1944 – April 4, 2023

Spencer (Bud) Brown 78 years of age passed away on April 4, 2023, in his Friendswood home of natural causes. He was a resident of Friendswood for 34 years.  He was born July 29, 1944 to Homer C. Brown and Sennith Lancaster Brown in Lubbock, TX.

Bud is survived by his daughter Missy and son-in-law David Parks. His sister Lou and husband Bobby Robertson and their children, Becky, Beverly and Steve as well as great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Mozelle Brown and grandchild Alan Brown.

He served in the Air Force where he was trained as an aircraft mechanic. He went on in his career to work for at least two different airlines such as Continental and Southwest, which is where he spent 29 years and retired with them.  Recognized as the airline’s “Top Wrench” mechanic he would be asked several times to travel to different cities to work on specific engines. He was a lover of dancing, music, and laughter. He had a love of fishing and hunting and being with friends.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200 with Rev. Jerry Stark officiating.  A reception will follow at his home.  Lunch will be provided.
