Melvin Boyd Tharp, 65, of Pearland, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023. He was born April 8, 1957 to Melvin R. Tharp and Joann Corder Tharp in Houston, Texas.
Melvin Boyd was preceded in death by his wife Paula Tharp, sister Lori Smith, and sister Paula Birchler.
Melvin Boyd is survived by son Garrett, daughter-in-law Keosha, grandaughter Mya, father Melvin Roy Tharp, mother Joann Corder Tharp, sister Michelle Thomas and husband Bo, brother Glen Tharp and wife Jennifer, brother-in-law Wayne Birchler and many loving aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Melvin Boyd loved his family very dearly and spent as much time as he could with them regardless if it was fishing, hunting, playing cards or just hanging out. He lived his life to the fullest in all ways possible.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 9:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 A.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546 (281) 992-7200. He will be buried at the Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
