Barbara Booth Welch was born October 4,1934 in Houston, Texas to parents C.H. and Olga DelBello Booth. She grew up in Manvel, Texas and lived in Alvin for more than 55 years. She passed away peacefully in her sleep May 28, 2022 at the age of 87.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Audrey Craig; brother, John Booth; sons, Ricky, Doug, and Guy Welch.
Barbara is survived by her sister, Betty Lunceford; daughter, LeAnn Forgy and husband Mike; grandsons, Jim Bob Forgy and wife Jessica, Jared Forgy and wife Tiffany, Guy Forgy and wife Jessica, Jonathan Forgy, and Mike Hudson; great grandchildren, Owen, Perri, and Quincy Forgy, Emma Forgy, Annalise, Eleanor, and Robert Forgy, Dawson and Elora Forgy, and Breonna Drosity; great great granddaughter Myla Lynne Singleton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thank you goes to the staff at K’s Place where she lived the last 3 1/2 years of her life and received excellent care.
A private memorial service will be held.
