Shawn I. Dennis of Friendswood, TX passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 at the age of 55. Shawn was born May 25, 1966 in Galveston, TX. He was raised in Santa Fe, TX and later moved to Alvin, TX where he graduated from Alvin High School in 1985. Shawn worked at Champion Technologies for 26 years and was employed at Thermal Energy Corporation.
He had a special love for spending time with his family, being out on the boat, and at the ducklease. Shawn’s humor and ability to make people laugh and smile was his forte. He also loved to dance, laugh and just all around have a good time. Shawn never met a stranger.
Shawn was preceded in death by his father Ronald Dennis, mother Janet Dennis, and brother Cameron Courney.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Chambers Dennis, son Cody Dennis and girlfriend Rachel Schwartz, mother and father-in-law Pat and Jerry Chambers, brother-in-law Jerry Chambers Jr. and his wife Lori Chambers, nephews Chase and Ty Chambers, brother Micheal Courney and his wife Debbie Courney, niece and nephew Madison and Dalton Courney, sister-in-law Sherrie Courney, niece Taylor Courney Ranson and husband Reed Ranson, great niece and nephew Gauge Ranson and Ryan Ranson, and niece Ashley Courney.
Friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation with the family at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 P.M., at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200, with Rev. Dayna Rankin officiating. Interment will follow at Confederate Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Cody Dennis -Son, Jerry Chambers – Brother in law, Chase Chambers – Nephew, Terrell Hubenak -Friend, Zack Fletcher- Friend, Jimmy Armstrong – Friend, Gavin Machado – Codys best friend, and Gene Flores -Cody’s High School baseball coach.

Worked with Shawn at Champion . Never had a dull shift. Shawn was a good man and lived to laugh and cut up. My prayers for Shawn and his family.
RIP Shawn, you touched the lives of so many .Some of us on a different level than others. Your passion for laughter and life was greater than most. There is not a single day,a single motorcycle, a single Van Halen song that you are not thought about . It’s been a year now and not a day goes by without thinking about you. How you kept texting me to see how I was doing even though you was in worst shape than me. That’s shows what kind of a man you was. I’ll never forget you buddy.
