April 26, 1952 – July 3, 2024
Owen Stephen Jones, Esq., born April 26, 1952, passed away July 3, 2024.
Owen is survived by his wife of 31 years, Terri, his children Josie June and Wyatt Owen. He is also survived by sister-in-law Tonja Rogers, Niece Tara Scansaroli (and family), nephew Kurt Willliam Kuenstler and many other family and friends.
In Owen’s journey he felt it important to serve his country and joined the Army December 29, 1982. He served as a Sergeant in B Company 2D Battalion, 8th Calvary division. He was honorably discharged in Ft. Hood Texas on January 4, 1989. While not a native of Texas he adopted Texas as his home where he met his wife, Terry.
Shortly after they were married, Owen began law school at South Texas College of Law, graduated, passed the Texas State Bar Exam and began his own Law Practice where he has impacted the lives of many.
Owen would say his greatest accomplishment was bringing his children Josie and Wyatt into this world. From that day forward they were his life and focus. He shared his passion of faith and has raised them in God’s Love. It is faith, family, and friends that will support Terri, Josie, and Wyatt through this journey.
The funeral service was held July 13, 2024, at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home in Friendswood, Texas. The burial was at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.

Dana I was a good friend of Owens. I just found out that he passed. I'm trying to get in touch with Terri but all the numbers I have don't work. If you know how to get in touch with her please let me know. My number is 713-253-0130
Terri, Josie, and Wyatt may you find comfort and peace in the great memories that fill your heart. Our fondest memories are the times we were together by the pool while Owen prepared the grill for steaks. Easter and Christmas holiday gatherings were special. Laughter over a great story. Discussions regarding politics and business strategies. He will be missed! A donation will be made in his honor at the Texas A&M University Veterans Resource Center.
I am shocked to hear that Owen passed away. I just heard about it. Owen was a great friend and I will miss him. I wish I had known I would have been at the funeral. Owen would go out of his way for his friends and he did for me. If Terri gets this please have her call me. I tried all the numbers I have and none of them worked. Owen was a man of God and I know he's with Jesus right now arguing his case.
I have waited to post my condolences to Owen’s family as I am beyond brokenhearted.🥲 He will always be my larger than life big brother, then, now, and always. My heart goes out to his family.
Love you more than words could ever say.🥲💔
