In Loving Memory

Teresa D. Phillips Osborn

March 16, 1949 – July 20, 2020

Teresa (Terry) Diane Osborn, 71, of Friendswood, TX, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 after a hard-fought battle with an aggressive cancer. It would be wrong to say that Terry lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like.

Terry's life revolved around her family, especially her grandchildren, countless friends, her beloved pets, the City of Friendswood, and of course the great state of Texas. She loved sports of every kind and was an avid supporter of the Houston Texans, particularly JJ Watt, and her beloved Texas A&M Aggies, both in good times and bad. She cared deeply for our service men and woman and took special joy in advocating for our veterans, as she had great respect and admiration for their service and sacrifice to our country.

Terry is survived by her brother, Kenneth R. Phillips and wife Peggy of Pearland, TX; sister, Theresa Kirsch of Clear Lake, TX; daughter, Kelley C. Wickizer and husband Karl of McCook, NE; daughter, Karen D. Osborn of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Julia Schaefer and husband Patrick of Montgomery, TX; Chelsea Johnson and husband Kyle of McCook, NE; Kiley Mikal Stewart of Pearland, TX; Casey Wickizer and wife Christina of McCook, NE; Victoria Wickizer of McCook, NE; great grandchildren, Abigail and Jacob Taylor, Aspen and Wyatt Johnson, and Cooper Wickizer; and several nieces and nephews including Ross Phillips and wife Dahlia; Ryan Philips and wife Angela; Leslie Kirsch who she loved dearly; and many other relatives and cherished friends.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to her STAR and AMS family and friends, with a personal thank you to Lisa Conn, Danny Johnson, Betty Duncan, Michael Meader, and Travis Crippen, who reminded her each day that she was loved through countless phone calls, beautiful flower arrangements, numerous cards and endless laughs. We also would like to thank Darrell Wandell, Jeannie Jones, Timi Forrest, Karen Teague, and many others for their lifelong friendships and their endless support and care the last seven months.

A visitation and funeral service for Terry will be held Friday, July 24, 2020 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546. The visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 pm with the service beginning at 2:00 pm with Rev. Reggie Clemons officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX.

Her family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions in Terry's memory be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org  or Wounded Warriors Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

  4. Terry was so much to so many, she was an extraordinary woman who gave so much of herself to everyone. Terry was admired by those who knew her. The love she had for her girls and all of her family was beyond measure.
Terry was a blessing God placed in my life 22 years ago through work but our friendship grew to be one of the greatest blessings I have known. The loss of my friend leaves a void that can only be filled by the memories and the joy of knowing we will meet again.

  5. Karen, Kelley, Kenny and family, I am so grateful that Terry came into my life so many years ago and continued to be one of my very best friends over the years. Even when our paths took different directions our friendship and bond stayed strong. I have so many wonderful memories of our life on the road and our work together. Terry was someone I trusted and respected to always be upfront and honest with me, even when I did not want to hear it. I learned so much from Terry down through the years and even in sickness and death she was still teaching me lessons I will carry the rest of my life. May you find comfort and peace in the knowledge that Terry impacted so many people and memories of her will live on.
