In Loving Memory

Pastor Alan L. Jandl

December 11, 1939 – March 28, 2021

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of LS Church’s founding pastor, Pastor Al Jandl. Almost 50 years ago, Pastor Al planted the seeds for this ministry and dedicated his life to serving the Lord.  We rejoice for Pastor Al because we know that he is with our Heavenly Father celebrating a life well lived.

He will forever be remembered for his pioneering spirit and relentless pursuit of the presence of God.  At this time, we ask that you pray for peace and comfort for the many people who loved him and were impacted by his life and ministry.

As a church, we are honored to carry on his legacy and to build upon this foundation for the next generation.  Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all who knew and loved him.

Today, Pastor Al is fully immersed in God’s presence and heaven is rejoicing … as Pastor Al would say, “All is Well.”

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at LS Church, 1407 Victory Lane, Alvin, Texas 77511.

Condolences may be sent to the Jandl family in care of Jeter Memorial Funeral Home at www.jeterfuneralhome.com

  1. Dear Jandl family,
i loved seeing Pastor Al dance and play the tamborine! One Easter years ago my husband, who showed almost no interest in God, went to Living Stones with me, and heard a powerful presentation of the gospel. I'm thankful for that.

I had an Amazing 15 years under this Pastor. My life changed in so many ways because of his and Judy's ministry. God Bless this family

    1. A life changed by Jesus Christ, a testimony of God's power and mercy. Pastor Al impacted so many lives in a positive way. Glad he made such a difference in so many ways in our family. I believe his reward is great. God will continue to bless his legacy.

  3. Pastor Jandl was good friends with my pastor Wallace Hickey in Denver, CO, and he spoke at our church several times in the late 1980s when I attended there. I'll always remember his testimony and humble spirit. He impacted so many.

It is great joy to see the legacy in Christ that Pastor Jandl left behind. He impacted so many lives with his ministry and put Alvin, TX on the map. My grandmother, Socorra Martinez and I want to send our love and prayers to Pastor Judy, Jessica and Stephanie. We know he is rejoicing in heaven dancing and playing his Tamborine as I use to remember as a small child. My grandmother, now 93, is one of the few remaining original members when Living Stones was located in the downtown Alvin in that old little white steeple church. My grandmother tells me of the great revivals that broke out in that small church that people were trying to look in though the opened windows so that they could participate on the great move of the Spirit.

I knew Pastor Al when he worked at the Piggly Wiggly Store many years ago. I watched the Jesus explosion in the store starting from the meat market leading up to the front. I saw the power of the Holy Spirit working there so strongly. As a fairly new Christian myself, I watched people so strong in the Lord lead coworkers and customers to the Lord. Pastor Al had a loving personality and he loved to help people all through his ministry. I attended Living Stones for over 11 years and got to see all the transitions from building to newer building to the ultimate dome. I was very blessed to sit under the teachings of Pastor Jandl and bring up my children in the love of the Lord that abounded at Living Stones. Pastor Al will be greatly missed by myself as well as many others that grew under his leadership.

I am sad and happy to hear Pastor Al JANDL had gone home to be with his Lord. He is where I would like to be. I am PAMELA MATLOCK And I was one of the orinal flock of the Living Stones Church and John and I were the very first couple he ever married not once but twice for 47 years. Al was always special to our hearts. He was our first Pastor too. The other day The Lord told me that He was coming quickly and His REWARD was with HIm. I guess Al couldn't wait and He has received his great reward ahead of all of us. I am sure that his remembrance celebration will be one that celebrates his legacy that will continue on with his Family. Thank You Al and Judy for being our pastors.

  7. My heart goes out to the family. Pastor Al was always such a kind man. He dedicated my children to the Lord back in 1996.
He is resting peacefully now in the bosom of Abraham.
