In Loving Memory

Karen Leigh Myers Inglet

September 2, 1962 – January 5, 2021

Karen Leigh Myers Inglet of Friendswood, Texas tragically passed on January 5, 2021 after a courageous battle with COVID-19.

Karen was born September 2, 1962 to Suzanne Isome Russell and Dale Myers. Karen grew up in Alvin, Texas and graduated from Alvin High School. She had a fulfilling and successful career in hospital human resources.  After retiring, Karen became a school bus driver for Clear Creek ISD. She came to love the children she drove to and from school as if they were her own. Many children, who are now grown, have reached out to describe how "Ms. Inglet" impacted their lives. Welcoming each child by their name, her annual Halloween costume and her genuine warmth and generosity are just a few of the memorable characteristics. Karen would be so pleased to know that she is remembered fondly by many.

Karen married the love of her life, Ronald Inglet, on January 12, 2002. She and Ronald enjoyed many wonderful years together loving life, their family, and their animals. Big, small, domestic, or wild, animals and their well-being was very important. From the opossum and feral cat who managed to become daily dinner guests on the back porch to the adoptions of many dogs that needed homes, Karen's kindness, soft heart, and deep love of animals was always apparent.

Karen had a sense of humor that was unbridled. Her laughter never failed to fill a room and would always bring a smile to any and everyone. She had special relationships with each of her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Family was most important and dear to her heart.

Karen will be profoundly missed by her husband, Ronald Inglet, and their fur baby Sunflower; her mother, Suzanne (Mel) Russell and father, Dale Myers; brother, Chris (Monica) Myers and sisters, Janie (Jim) Caradec, and Amy (Mike) Roe; stepson Craig (Aline) Inglet and step-grandchildren Camille, Whit, and Walker Inglet, as well as her nieces and nephew Amy Johnston, Ashley Almanza, Jill Caradec, Caroline Roe, Kate Roe, and C. Garrett Roe.

Karen will be laid to rest at Friendswood Friends Church Cemetery on Monday, January 11, 2020.  In honor of her love for animals, please consider donating to Bayou Animal Services at www.friendsofbas.com .

Karen was a precious soul who was loved by so many. I was fortunate to have have her as my sister-in-law for just shy of 19 years. She was a warm, loving , and compassionate person. I will never forget the many times she came to sit with me and my mother while my mother was seriously ill in the hospital. When Ronald was at work and unavailable, Karen always came and gave me comfort and support. After our mother died, Karen gave me a sweet music box that I will forever cherish. I pray that God would especially give Ronald and her family His gentle peace, comfort, and the reassurance of His unchanging love for them.
