Geraldine "Jerry" Slocum at the age of 81 passed away August 9, 2020 in Houston TX. She was born July 19, 1939 in Houston TX to parents, Roy and June Nelson. She married her high school sweetheart Bobby Slocum and they had 6 children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Jerry was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Slocum, parents Roy and June Nelson, her brother Lloyd Wiggs, her son Stephen Slocum, her daughter Tammy Gallion and her son Mark Slocum.
She is survived by her son Bobby Slocum and wife Janet Slocum, son Greg Slocum and daughter Gwen Walker; her grandchildren, Angelia, Crystal, Gregory, Samantha, Camber, Savannah and Alexandra; her great grandchildren, Tammi, Christian, Kenan, Camila, Pacey, Arya, Hunter, and Ellie May; and her great great grandson Ezra; her sister Vicki Martin and husband John Martin and brother James Ford and wife Tricia Ford and numerous other loved ones.
Jerry was a die-hard Astros fan and a lover of all things Bob Seger. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren but most of all her great grandchildren. She was never shy to tell you how she felt, and she definitely enjoyed her chocolate cake, with chocolate frosting of course.
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family of Friday, August 14, 2020 at 9:00 A.M. with a Celebration of Life to begin at 10:00 A.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 with Deacon Chuck Turner officiating. Burial to proceed at Grandview Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena TX 77505.

We loved spending time with Jerry at the Whispering Pines. She was a hoot to hang out with and will be missed by many. RIP Jerry.
