Annie Bell Burroughs McCallon

December 25, 1935 – November 12, 2020

Annie Bell McCallon went home to her Heavenly Father Thursday, November 12, 2020just shy of her 85th birthday after a long courageous battle with dementia.  She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1935 in Zavalla, TX. to Raymond Burroughs and Ethyl Waggoner Burroughs.

She is welcomed into Heaven by her loving husband of 60 years, J.A. McCallon, her parents, and her siblings; Alton Burroughs, Lois and Bill Davis, Billie Nordstom, Charles Walker, and Bobbie Jo Murphy. 

She is survived by her three sons, Ron and Cyndy McCallon, Larry McCallon and Carolyn Johnson, and David and Suzanne McCallon and her sister Carolyn Jean Mazzola.She is loved and remembered by her nine grandchildren; Christopher McCallon, Chad McCallon, Kelly and Julie Burnett, Amberly and Ernesto Jordan, Heather McCallon, Mathew and Kari McCallon, Megan McCallon, Jacob and Lauren McCallon, Caleb McCallon, and sixteen great grandchildren.

Annie grew up in the Beaumont TX. area where her beauty, wit, and love of life and music drew others to her. Her greatest joy in life was cooking and caring for her family and friends. Her smile, laughter, that mischievous twinkle in her eye, her singing, and yes, all that glorious, delicious food will be greatly missed by us all.

The family would like to thank all of her caretakers at The Cottages at Clear Lake for their loving care of her.

A graveside funeral will be held in the future at the Oak Bluff Memorial Park Cemetery, in Port Neches, Texas.
