Gary Eugene McFadden of Alvin, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2018. He was 68 years old.

Gary was born on June 22, 1949, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Teddie McFadden and Imogene McFadden Mathews. He was raised in Muskogee and graduated from Central High School in 1967. Gary went to the Houston Community College Police Academy in 1970 and later became a Police Officer with the League City Police Department in 1975. He married his now wife, Deborah, on June 2, 1983.

Gary was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene Mathews and his father Teddie McFadden.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah McFadden; his son, Jonathan E. Cox and his wife, Lyzdeanna Cox, and their children, Jonathan L. Cox and Matthew Cox; his son, Kevin Cox and his wife, Carrie Cox, and their children, Jakob Cox and the princess, Emily Cox. He is also survived by his sister, Rebecca Davis.

Gary was an amazing son, wonderful husband, a great father, and a mentor to so many people. He loved spending time outdoors with friends and family at bar-b-ques, fishing, hunting, camping, golf, and drag racing. He enjoyed being a pilot and flying airplanes which later became a love for building and flying model airplanes as well as a passion for woodworking, creating arrowheads and everyone knew his love of all things Dallas Cowboys. Gary loved many things in his life with one of his greatest being his furry friends.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all.He will forever be in our hearts.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 A.M. at Hope Lutheran Church, 1804 S. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 with Rev. Jonathan E. Petering officiating.Interment will follow at the Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, TX.

Pallbearers will include Eric Cox, Leonard Fletcher, Michael Kramm, Greg Morgan, Sean Murray, and Gary Ratliff.Honorary pallbearers: Roger Lee, Rex Fancher and Janet Hornbeck.
