William Lynn Bennett

8/29/1959 - 8/22/2017

William “Lynn” Bennett, 57, of Friendswood, passed away on August 22, 2017 after a two year battle with bone cancer.  He fought courageously and was a warrior all the way.  Lynn was born on August 29, 1959 in Texas City, TX to parents William Everett Bennett and Constance Anita Bennett Little.  Lynn grew up in Alvin, TX and graduated from Alvin High School in 1977.  He then graduated from the University of Texas in Austin. He then attended and graduated from  St. Mary’s Law School in San Antonio. He passed the bar on his first try.  He then received his Federal Law License. Lynn practiced law in San Marcos his first year.  And while there, met the love of his life, Lisa.  One of his favorite pastimes was cooking and was a very good cook! Lynn was an avid Longhorn fan and enjoyed their football games win or lose.

William was preceded in death by his father, Bill Bennett; grandparents, Howard and Stella Chapman, and Claude L. and Myrtle Bennett.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Lisa Bennett; mother, Anita Little and husband Lester; sons, Connor W. Bennett and Hunter C. Bennett; sister, Kandace Kohler and husband Tom; and many family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Connor W. Bennett, Hunter C. Bennett, Dominic Merino, Thomas W. Kohler, Tim Brown, and Thomas Wm. Kohler.

Friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation with the family at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Jeter Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 P.M., with Rev. Howard Huhn officiating.  Interment will be at Confederate Cemetery in Alvin, TX.
