Len Faye (Duggan) Bovee

In Loving Memory

Len Faye (Duggan) Bovee

10/30/1931 - 4/6/2018

Len Faye (Duggan) Bovee, 86, of Friendswood, Texas passed on to the Lord on Friday, April 6, 2018. She was born October 30, 1931 to John and Sally Duggan in Nocona, Texas.

She and her husband Charles lived in Friendswood, Texas for over 45 years, where they raised two daughters Susanne and Sally. Len was blessed with a very large family growing up in Nocona, Texas being the youngest of seven with four sisters and two brothers. The importance of family showed up annually at the Thanksgiving Reunions. This is where all the Duggan family and extended family got together to reconnect, to share stories and importantly the Duggan sisters would all stand together for the “Photograph”. Len and Charlie, in their earlier days, loved to dance together and be around friends and family. They shocked us at one Halloween party with Len dressed in Sally’s high school drill team outfit and Charlie in a pep squad outfit.

She cherished her lifelong friendships, sharing life’s up and downs. Len worked at the University of Houston Residence Hall for over 30 years till her retirement. She had a passion for basketball, starting with the Houston Cougars and Phi Slamma Jamma, to the Houston Rockets. They were long time members of the First United Methodist Church of Friendswood.

Len was preceded in death by her husband Charles Bovee, mother Sally Duggan, and father John Duggan.

She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Cowden and her husband Keith Cowden; daughter Sally Fox and her husband John Fox, granddaughter Crystal Hughes and her husband Jason Hughes; great grandson Trenton and great granddaughter Ainsley and many other relatives and cherished friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200, with Rev. Howard Huhn officiating.

Condolences may be sent to the Bovee family in care of Jeter Memorial Funeral Home at www.jeterfuneralhome.com.

Suzanne, Sally, Crystal & Family, with the passing of Len Bovee-your beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, my heart is so full of sorrow for you all and any who knew and loved Len, myself included. I had the privileged honor of knowing Len as my mother in law for several years. I spent a good amount of time around her enjoying many fun, interesting times and conversations with her. She was such a very fair, loving and kind woman. She was certainly a good cook and I still prepare some dishes that she passed down to me way back then. She absolutely made an impression on me and I'm so glad that I was blessed to know Len. Without a doubt, she will be missed by many! Even though I haven’t seen much of her over the past several years, I know this Ol TexOkie will definitely be missing her along with you all. My thoughts and prayers will be with you as you put Len to rest with the Lord in Heaven and grieve the loss of her. Love y'all! Ron Newberry April 11, 2018

Len was a very special neighbor. I have so many great memories of Len growing up. Spur of the moment drives to Webster just so we could have a Baskin & Robins ice cream. Sitting on her front porch in the dark on hot summer nights just talking and watching neighborhood "activity". Playing cards like "Spoon". Rest in peace sweet neighbor. My deepest condolences to the entire family. Lori
