It deepens the soul and hardens the heart when a dear friend passes.. Our most sincere sympathy for the Castleberry Family. I knew Steven for just a brief time. The first day he began his career here at St. Luke's I knew he was going to be a great person to work with. Steven was absolutely one of the best employees we had. He will be greatly missed... My condolences to the family of my very good co worker, Steven. Steven helped me in every way and never complainted when giving assignments. Steven confided in me and I in him. He was a trustful friend. I could tell he was very proud of his family, especially his two beautiful younger daughters that resemble his features. He is and will be truly missed. God bless Steven and his family.

Missy, I’m so sorry for Steve’s passing. I’m praying for you and your girls. I was so happy to reconnect with Steve after 20+ years apart. I have so many good memories with Steve. I’m so happy with the good times I had catching up with my funny friend. I was listening to KSBJ this week, a powerful song came on and afterwards they talked about it. They reminded me again that Jesus paid the ultimate price for every sin and anything that anybody could possibly do that would cast doubt thinking a sin was too big. They went on to say, the Cross was not easy, it was the ultimate sacrifice, paid in full for everyone. I believe my brother Steve did not do this to himself. It’s the enemy’s work. God took Steve into his forgiving and loving arms and Steve will definitely be the Angel to help you. Steve was everybody’s friend. He made everyone’s day better. He made my stressful days better. He lead by example by helping everyone regardless if it was his job or not. He touched many lives as evident with all his friends. Steve and I prayed together on occasion. This week, our entire department prayed together for Steve. Next week, we are planning a mass in honor of Steve in our Hospital Chapel at CHI Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. I will really miss him. Stay strong. God is good. YBIC, Richard Martinez
