Barbara Earlene Booth Netherland

Barbara Earlene Booth Netherland, 86, of Pearland, TX passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017.  She was born May 18, 1931 to William T. Booth and Hazel Arant Booth in Monroe, LA.  Barbara grew up in Monroe, LA.  She was a member of Shadycrest Baptist Church and was a school teacher for 32 years.  Barbara loved God, family, church, mysteries, reading books, collecting bears and teacups, her students, and talking!

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Billy Netherland; sons, Wayne Netherland and his wife Tammy of Pearland, TX and Lee Netherland and his wife Melissa of Tulsa, OK; brother, Kenneth Booth of Yuma, ZA; granddaughter’s, Sheressa Netherland, Lindsey and her husband Tyler McKinney, Sara and her husband Marvin Wingfield, Samantha and her husband Clay Stokes, and Tabatha and her husband Christian Miller; grandson’s, Keith Netherland and Jake and his wife Bonnie Netherland; great-grandchildren, Austin, Cameron, Cooper, Conrad, Case, Elizabeth, and Oliver.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tyler McKinney officiating.  A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Crowville Masonic Cemetery in Crowville, LA.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Barbara’s memory to the Shadycrest Baptist Church Building Fund, 3017 Yost Blvd., Pearland, TX 77581.

So sorry for you loss. Barbara was a dear person. I know she is at peace now. Wasn’t Ken Booth her brother? ❤️❤️

So sorry for your loss. Many years ago, in the 50's, Barbara taught me in Sunday School at Start Baptist Church. All her family are in my thoughts and I can empathize with you. Shirley Dark.
