Juva Reckel Okamoto Hernandez

In Loving Memory

Juva Reckel Okamoto Hernandez

2/29/2017 - 11/04/2017

Juva Reckel (Okamoto) Hernandez, 45, went to be with our Lord November 4, 2017. Juva was born on February 29, 1972 in Jackson, Michigan to parents Ronald and Yvette (Holm) Okamoto.

Alex and Juva were married on June 25, 1999 and lived in San Diego, California with their son Nicholas D.R. Okamoto. Completing their small family, their beautiful daughter Alva was born on June 19, 2000. During their time in San Diego, Juva ran an in-home day care. She loved taking care of children.  Alex and Juva moved to Hawaii in 2003 where she continued her in-home day care.  When they got out of the service they moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2006 where Juva became a dental assistant.  Alex and Juva moved to League City, Texas in 2010 where for a bit Juva continued to work as a dental assistant until medical issues made her decide to be a stay at home mom to their loving daughter. During the last several years Juva had a passion for crafting and started a small crafting business. Genuinely warm hearted, Juva placed others before herself giving selflessly her craft of warmth and joy.  She never lost her faith in the Lord and brought her husband back to God.  She was an amazing woman.

Juva was preceded in death by her father Ronald Okamoto and mother Yvette ann Okamoto.

She is survived by her husband, Alejandro Hernandez; son, Nicholas D. R. Okamoto; daughter, Alva Mya Hernandez; granddaughter, Zoe Julliana Okamoto, and grandson, Nicholas D.R. Okamoto Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, TX 77546, (281) 992-7200, with Pastor Ron Hindt officiating.
