Don, you are now in a better place. God needed someone to consult with for an unbiased opinion so you were an obvious choice. I will keep the memories of our friendship in my heart until the end. You and I have done so much together at NASA, have so many fishing stories to tell and last but not least the memories of many years of the famous annual Don’s Fish Fry. To Don’s family, I have gotten to know a lot of you the last 30-plus years. To each, I truly hope your grieving is brief and we often reflect on how Don was a part of our lives. Don, really going to miss you friend. See you on the other side.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Don's aka DK family and his many friends. I am sadden to hear this news, DK was a great person to have cross roads with in my life. I have very great memories of our interactions doing the great work at NASA and even fonder with the times away from work, never a dull moment! Makes me smile just thinking about them. I am proud to have called him a friend and God Bless you.

I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. We worked together for several years at Ford Aerospace where he helped me learn the ropes. I'll remember Don as I last saw him at Joe's BBQ in Alvin during a trip to Texas in 2014. We met for lunch and had a good time catching up after several years. My condolences to friends and family. - Tim

Don (best-ever test engineer) and I (dreaded program manager) worked together at Ford. When he wasn't deeply engrossed in solving technical issues, he talked lovingly about his wife and children and fishing ... and how the Program Office made his life miserable. He had a terrifically droll sense of humor, once gave me a necklace he bought at a mall kiosk for $5 - a black disc with "gold" edging, engraved "PB1". Still have it, I rather liked being "The #1" pushy broad! Don holds a special place in my best memories of Ford. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Very sorry to hear about DK's passing. I worked with him for many years at NASA. He was a strong contributor, and always kept technical discussions lively. Another unsung hero of the American space program.
