Michelle Rene Chevalier Ballard, 49, of Pearland, TX passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2017 after a major stroke. She was born November 8, 1967 in Houston, TX to Leroy and Eveline Howard Chevalier.

Michelle graduated from M.B. Smiley High School in 1986.  She attended University of Houston, graduating with a B.S. in Political Science.  After graduation, she was accepted into Thurgood Marshall School of Law where she received her JD degree.  Michelle married Jacques D. Ballard in 1991.  To this union four children were born, Chloe Gabrielle, Jacques Demetrius, Jr (preceding her in death), Margot Jacqueline and Lana Claire Ballard.  She leaves to mourn her death, the love of her life, Chloe, Margot, Lana and her loving mother and step-father, Eveline and Lloyd Kirk, Sr.; her beloved father, Leroy Chevalier Jr.; loving Grandmother, Mildred Chevalier; her dear sister and loved brother-in-law, Kimberly and Christopher J. Echols; her God-son, Christopher J. Echols; God-daughter, Charease Davis; beloved favorite niece, Hannah A. Echols; nephews, Leroy and Justice; many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.  Michelle loved her family with great passion and everyone has fond memories of her life.  She will be deeply missed and always loved.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M with the funeral service to begin at 12:00 P.M. at the HOPE Church Pearland, 4209 Broadway St., Pearland, TX 77581 with Pastor Lloyd Kirk officiating.  Interment will follow at the Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, TX.
