Chester John Gurka, Jr., 63, of Alvin, TX passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017.  He was born October 17, 1953 to Chester J. Gurka, Sr. and Helen Vrazel Gurka in Houston, TX.

He is survived by his wife Oletta Gurka; children, Jackie Jean Marple and husband Kenneth, Sonia Laiche and husband David, John Frank Gurka, Eddie Joe Gurka and wife Stacey and Joshua Gurka; sisters, Cynthia Sliva and Rose Schibbye; brothers, Johny Patke; sister-in-law Rhonda Gurka; grandchildren, Kenny Paul Marple, III, Heaven Lea Gurka, Aidan Gurka, Lily Gurka, Amber Laiche, Maegen Laiche, and Devan Laiche; and many other relatives and cherished friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.
