Anthony (Tony) Phillip Lucia

In Loving Memory

Anthony (Tony) Phillip Lucia

2/3/1922 - 9/4/2017

Anthony (Tony) Phillip Lucia, 95, of Pasadena, TX passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017.  He was born February 3, 1922 to Victor Lucia and Mary Caruso Lucia in Houston, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life Mary Nell (Creppon) Lucia.

Tony is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Day; his son Richard Lucia and his wife Margaret; sisters, Carrie Richards and husband James; grandchildren, Melissa Ramsey, Philip Lucia, Erin Lucia and Amanda Lucia; great-grandchildren, Emily Pearson, Austin Pearson and Briana Augustinos; and many other relatives and cherished friends.

He served his country during WWII in the Navy as a water tender 1st class aboard USS Craven (DD382). Medals include European African Campaign, Asiatic Pacific Campaign, Occupation Service, and the American Campaign. He loved to tell his navy stories to his family. Tony  always had shined shoes and sharply dressed – perhaps from his Navy days or from lessons learned in the great depression.

He retired from Ethyl Corporation, traveled for awhile then settled into his garden and the garage where he could be found most of the time.

Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (281) 992-7200.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Freeway, Webster, TX 77598.

Condolences may be sent to the Lucia family in care Jeter Memorial Funeral Home at www.jeterfuneralhome.com.
