Leslie "Les" Ming

2/10/1936 - 8/21/2017

Leslie "Les" J. Ming, 81, departed this life after a long battle with peripheral artery disease on August 21, 2017 in Friendswood, TX.  Les was born in Scituate, RI on February 10, 1936 to Leong Fook Ming and Eng She.  Les was an alumni of Roman Catholic High School and Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia.  His career included IBM Federal Systems Division and United Space Alliance where he wrote and approved software for the NASA shuttle program.

Les was preceded in death by a daughter and three brothers.  

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Colette; sister, Rose; brother, William; children, Jacqueline, Christopher, Theresa, and Quintina; one grandson, one great grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends are cordially invited to attend a visitation with the family from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, Texas 77546, (281) 992-7200, with a praying of the Rosary at 7:00 P.M.  A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Mary Queen Catholic Church, 606 Cedarwood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546, with Rev. Sibi Kunninu, M.S. officiating.
