I worked for many years in the children's division at South Park Baptist Church. Don was always available to add his wit for the children. The thing I remember most about him was his sense of humor. If he heard a new joke, he couldn't wait to tell it. May God bless his sons and grandsons as they mourn the loss of Don.

We are so very sorry to hear of your loss. Don touched lives with his excellence in living, wit, humor, his love of his family and evident love of Christ. By doing so I am a better man because my path crossed with this pillar of faith several years ago in the South China Sea. I am grateful to have been a witness to the life of a true Gentleman, Don Parrish. I loved it when he used to say, ‘I said to myself, “Self”,…”. He would fill in the words after self with some truism or witty comment. God be with you until you meet, again.
